At Earth Blox, we help our customers accelerate their impact through our technology. Earth Blox gives easy access to geospatial metrics and analytics for the monitoring and quantification of climate and nature disclosures. Our solutions are customisable and scalable, and provide deep insights into how land is used and how it changes over time. This accelerates the selection and due diligence process for Nature Based Solutions projects, helping our clients meet their climate targets faster and with full transparency.
To meet global climate change, biodiversity and land degradation targets, investments into Nature Based Solutions, such as protecting and planting forests, peatland and coastal wetland restoration, are expected to triple by 2030 and increase four-fold by 2050. Already today, the demand for expertise outpaces the supply. Over the next decade, this dearth can only be expected to increase.
Earth Blox is committed to ensuring that the sustainability transition is not hampered by skills and technology gaps. We have designed a product that allows data analysts to build and run geospatial analyses in minutes and share these outputs with key decision makers and stakeholders. Access to over 900 Earth Engine datasets, combined with code-free workflows, makes Earth Blox the data platform of choice for businesses, governments, and NGOs to inform critical decision-making around climate and security risks, environmental degradation, and adaptation to climate change.
And so, we are proud to announce that we’ve been selected to take part in the Google for Startups Accelerator: Climate Change programme. The programme, which kicks off in Munich this week, will enable the selected startups to grow with the best of Google’s technical expertise, cloud technology and mentorship opportunities.
Earth Blox CEO, Dr Genevieve Patenaude, said:
“Securing a place on this accelerator is a key milestone to expedite and improve how we deliver our services to our clients. Google underpins core parts of our technology stack, from the petabytes of geospatial and climate data, to the power of cloud hosting. All this enables fast processing, scalability and cost efficiency for our users.”
Earth Blox was founded in 2019, and the team includes world experts in Radar, Optical and Lidar, as well as PhDs in data science, who are committed to accelerating the adoption of Earth observation insights in the fight for our planet by making these widely accessible.
