To meet global climate change, biodiversity and land degradation targets, investments into Nature Based Solutions, such as protecting and planting forests, peatland and coastal wetland restoration, are expected to triple by 2030 and increase four-fold by 2050. Already today, the demand for expertise outpaces the supply. Over the next decade, this dearth can only be expected to increase.
Earth Blox is committed to ensuring that the sustainability transition is not hampered by skills and technology gaps. We have designed a product that allows data analysts to build and run geospatial analyses in minutes and share these outputs with key decision makers and stakeholders. Access to over 900 Earth Engine datasets, combined with code-free workflows, makes Earth Blox the data platform of choice for businesses, governments, and NGOs to inform critical decision-making around climate and security risks, environmental degradation, and adaptation to climate change.
And so, we are proud to announce that we’ve been selected to take part in the Google for Startups Accelerator: Climate Change programme. The programme, which kicks off in Munich this week, will enable the selected startups to grow with the best of Google’s technical expertise, cloud technology and mentorship opportunities.
